The nature verses nurture argument is a hotly debated one in many scientific fields. However, as it usually tends to be the case, my love for video games likely derives from both. My interest in gaming first peaked in the early 2000s after my parents purchased me a Gameboy Advance SP. While many a hour were spent on the sofa staring at that little screen, and many a child-friendly game were played, it wouldn’t be until I was finally exposed to my dad’s love for Halo that gaming would change my life. My brain chemistry responded to his passion in all the right ways, and it quickly became mine too. At six years old I was begging my parents to let me shoot through the streets of New Mombasa in Halo 2. At seven I was waking up early on the weekends to play Halo 3.  At eight I was finally given my own gamertag. At ten my parents gifted me my own Dell computer, and I was opened to an entire new world of opportunity and potential. The rest is history. 

Favorite games of all time include: Halo 3, Mass Effect series, Hades, Balders Gate 3, Sid Meier’s Civilization series, Counterstrike, Dragon Age Origins, and Minecraft.
